Managing Director     South Wales          c£150k-£200k package

We are currently working with two companies based in South Wales that are looking for business leaders to join them.

Our search activity to date has focused, as you might expect, on individuals currently employed in relevant industry sectors. Working on the basis that skill sets at this most senior of levels are transferable we have placed this ad to address a wider potential candidate population.

The two businesses are very different. One is a profitable business unit within a listed plc whilst the other is owner directed where a retiring sole shareholder is looking for someone to prepare the business for sale.

Both positions carry full p&l responsibility with the privately owned business looking to appoint someone whose skills are operationally biased rather than being overtly commercial.

These are site based roles to the extent that anyone living more than 50 miles away will not be considered. Relocation or weekly commuting is not an option. Both businesses have had their fingers burned with this work model in recent years!

Candidate who have service sector experience will not be considered whilst those from a manufacturing [mechanical rather than electrical] or materials processing environment will have an advantage.
