Our client, part of a major US corporation, is a provider of integrated systems and services to a customer group drawn from the public and commercial sectors.

This is a new role, at this level, and carries the key objective to strategically develop the supply chain processes and systems within a business unit, covering the UK and part of Europe, which has a turnover of c$120M.

The role, with the support of a small team, interfaces with all functional areas of the business [Operations, Finance, Sales] in ensuring stock availability which in turn involves managing the relationships between many different vendors, including subcontractors and material suppliers.

The Role:

  • Review the current systems and practices across the entire supply chain spectrum, and make strategic recommendations for improved processes including product introductions, order and supplier management, inventory management and distribution services, supporting financial management goals.
  • Deliver annual cost saving targets to support the business in achieving its Operating Plans.
  • Manage both existing and new vendor partnerships to ensure best in class supply chain reliability and efficiency.
  • Review and ensure best practice in inventory management.
  • Work with the European procurement team, with the objective of increasing sourcing options, improving negotiation, vendor performance, product knowledge, vendor productivity improvement.

    The Candidate:

  • Graduate calibre with a minimum 10 years Supply Chain management experience in a high-tech business.
  • Can demonstrate the review & assessment of existing practices within past employers the effectiveness of recommended improvements.
  • First class communicator who can interface effectively with internal departments and external service providers at all levels and foster collaborative practices.
  • Take a hands-on approach, will lead by example and be driven towards completion
